Winter Play Day

Just a reminder that tomorrow morning is our Winter Play Day.  Make sure your child is dressed warm as he or she will be outside from 9am until 11am.

Cake Walk and Dance

Reminder that tomorrow is the last day to bring your tickets for the Cake Walk. The kindergarten children who brought in their tickets will be
participating in this activity in the morning.

Tomorrow, Friday February 7th, St. Rita will be having our annual Valentine Family Dance. This event is taking place at St. Pius High School from 6-8:30pm. For more information please check the school website.

What a Wonderful Puppet Show!

The students enjoyed a puppet show today called, "Kindness Counts"!  Through interesting characters & songs, Jenny, the puppeteer, presented a great show that highlighted the importance of showing kindness to others.  The children enjoyed all the puppet characters, especially the Wizard & Henry Hooper!  We look forward to celebrating the Acts of Kindness we see in the classroom!

Aboriginal Presentation & Dance!

 

On Monday, the Kindergarten children enjoyed a wonderful presentation about the Métis culture. Jaime, a family friend of Paul, one of our Kindergarten students, came in to share some interesting information about her Métis culture & show us an aboriginal dance. The children enjoyed a story, learning about the Métis alphabet, & participating in a Métis jig dance. Everyone loved dancing & moving to the music!!

Tuesday will be Tattoo Day and Spirit Day (wear school colors blue and yellow) at St.Rita. Those events are to raise money for relief for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. For each donation students will receive a tattoo. 

Popcorn Day at St. Rita!

         Parent Council will be having a Popcorn Day fundraiser on Friday, November 15th.  The cost is $1 per bag.
